Any assignment that students have planned for today will appear here. Students can see when they planned to work on it and how much time they have devoted to the assignment. To get more information about it or to view it directly in Google Classroom, students can simply click on the assignment. Any notes or materials that teachers provide will appear directly in Today. 

When the allocated time is up, students' assignments will once again appear in their inbox in order to allow them to plan when they will continue to work on the assignment next. If students complete the assignment, they simply have to select it and click “I'm done”. Their assignment will now appear in their done list.
